Before we talk about our coffee
How's yours?
Four questions worth asking about whoever supplies you now.
Is it always freshly roasted?
Coffee is at its best from four days to three weeks off the roast. Past six weeks it tastes flat and papery, however good your machine is. Is there a roast date on the bag in your hopper?
Does it always taste the same?
You dial it in, it's spot on for a fortnight, then the next delivery tastes like a different coffee. If your team is chasing the grinder every week, that's the roast, not them.
Is the price fair?
Wholesale prices have climbed a long way, and plenty of suppliers went further than they needed to. Worth knowing what you pay per kilo, and what else that money buys.
Do you get the support you need?
Regular visits to see how it's going. A hand dialling the coffee in. Proper training for your whole team.

Questions
The things people usually ask
What does it cost?
Specialty grade starts at £17.50 a kilo, about 32p a cup on an 18g double shot. If you need a lower price point, our Fairtrade Brazilian is £16.50.
Happy to send over our full wholesale price list. Just ask and it's with you the same day. We'll price it properly once we know what you use and how much of it.
For context, beans are usually the third biggest cost in a flat white, behind rent and staff.
Is there a minimum order?
No. Order one kilo if that's what you need. Delivery is free over £170.
How quickly can you get coffee to me?
Everything is roasted to order rather than pulled off a shelf, so it's always fresh when it reaches you. Allow 2 to 3 working days from ordering to landing.
If you're local and caught short, ring us. We can usually get coffee to you within a few hours.
Do I have to sign anything?
No contract, no minimum, no exclusivity, no notice period. If it stops working, stop ordering. We'd rather keep your business by being worth keeping.
What if my customers notice the change?
That's the thing most people worry about, and it's fair.
So we work through it with you. We start by matching what you already pour, dial it in with your team, and come back to check it's settled. The aim is to keep your customers happy and get the best tasting coffee we can into the cup.
Do you supply machines?
We work alongside Yay Coffee Tech, also in Scarborough, for machine supply and servicing. Need one, or someone to look after yours? We'll put you in touch.
How fresh is it when it arrives?
Roasted the week it goes out, date printed on the bag. Coffee is best from four days to three weeks off the roast, so most customers are drinking theirs right in the middle of that window.
How often should I order?
Weekly or fortnightly suits most venues, with about three days' cover in hand so you're never caught short.
Where do you deliver?
Anywhere in the UK. Roasted and posted, so usually about two days from order to doorstep. Same coffee and the same roast date on the bag wherever you are.
