Cafés and shops

Looking to serve our coffee in your business? There is a page for that.

Wholesale

Send a message

What can we help with?

Orders, subscriptions, which coffee suits your machine, or something we have not thought of. If we cannot help we will usually know someone who can.

  • Add your order number if it is about an order, it saves us both an email.
  • Subscription changes are quicker from your account or the link in your emails, but we are happy to do it for you.

We only use your details to answer you.

Subscriptions

Managing your subscription

Everything is in your hands, and none of it needs us. There are two ways to your subscription page.

  • From your email. Every message we send about your subscription has a Manage your subscription link that takes you straight in, no password needed.
  • From your account. Use the profile icon at the top right of any page to log in, then go to Orders and open Subscriptions.

Skip or pause

Got enough for now?

Skip the next delivery and the one after picks up as normal, or pause the whole thing until you want it running again.

Change how often

Coming too fast or too slow?

Switch between every two weeks and every month whenever you like. Most people land on it after a delivery or two.

Swap the coffee

Fancy something different?

Change the coffee, the grind or the bag size on your next delivery. Your discount stays exactly the same.

Cancel

Want to stop?

Cancel from the same page, any time, with no notice period and nothing to pay. No need to tell us why.

Either route lands in the same place. Would rather we just did it? Email us or use the form above and we will sort it out for you.

Questions

The things people usually ask

Your order

When will my coffee arrive?

We roast to order rather than pull it off a shelf, so allow 2 to 3 working days from ordering to landing on your doormat.

Royal Mail 48 Tracked is £3.45 and Royal Mail 24 Tracked is £4.29. Orders over £50 come with free delivery.

Where do you deliver?

Anywhere in the UK. Same coffee, same roast date on the bag, wherever you are.

Can I change or cancel an order?

If it has not been roasted and packed yet, yes. Email us with your order number as soon as you can and we will catch it if we can.

My order has not turned up, or turned up damaged

Tell us the order number and what has happened and we will sort it. A photo helps if something arrived in a state.

Do you take trade or bulk orders?

Yes. Cafés, restaurants, farm shops, offices. Have a look at the wholesale page or send us a message and we will send coffee out to try.

Your subscription

How does a subscription work?

Pick your coffee, your grind and how often you want it, either every two weeks or every month. It arrives freshly roasted on that rhythm and you save 20% on every delivery.

How do I skip, pause or cancel?

Two ways in. Either the Manage your subscription link in any of your subscription emails, or log in from the profile icon at the top right of the site and go to Orders, then Subscriptions.

From there you can skip the next delivery, pause it, or cancel outright. No notice period, nothing to pay to stop, and no need to give a reason. If you would rather we did it, email us.

How do I change the coffee, grind or size?

Same subscription page, reached either way. Change the coffee, swap between whole bean and ground, or move between 250g and 1kg. Your 20% stays as it is.

How do I change how often it comes?

Switch between every two weeks and every month from your subscription page whenever you like. If you are consistently running out early or finding bags stacking up, that is the setting to move.

How do I update my address or card?

Both live on your subscription page. Worth doing before your next renewal date so nothing bounces or goes to the wrong door.

When am I charged?

On the day your next delivery is due. We roast it after that and post it out, so what lands with you was roasted for that delivery rather than sat waiting.

I cannot find the link in my emails

Log in instead. The profile icon at the top right of any page takes you to your account, and your subscription sits under Orders, then Subscriptions.

Still stuck? Message us and we will either send the link over or make the change for you.

The coffee

How fresh is it when it arrives?

Roasted the week it goes out, with the date printed on the bag. Coffee is at its best from about four days to three weeks off the roast, so it reaches you right in the middle of that window.

Whole bean or ground?

Either. Every coffee comes as whole bean, or ground for espresso, filter or cafetière. Pick it from the dropdown on the product.

Whole bean keeps better if you have a grinder. If you do not, tell us your brewer and we will grind it right.

What sizes do you do?

250g and 1kg on every coffee. The 1kg works out cheaper per cup, and it keeps perfectly well if you store it properly.

Do you do decaf?

We do. Our Mexico Decaf is on the shop with the rest of the range, in the same sizes and grinds, and it can go on subscription like anything else.

How should I store it?

Somewhere cool and dark, in the bag it came in with the top rolled down, or an airtight tin. Not the fridge and not the freezer for coffee you are drinking day to day.

Which one should I go for?

If you drink it with milk, start with the House Blend. If you drink it black and want something brighter, try the Ethiopia Yirgacheffe. If you like it strong and traditional, the Dark Roast.

Still not sure? Tell us what you are drinking now and how you make it, and we will point you at one.

Anything else

Can I visit the roastery?

Yes, we are on Manor Road Business Park in Scarborough. Message us first so one of us is in and the kettle is on.

Do you sell coffee machines?

Not directly. We work alongside Yay Coffee Tech, also in Scarborough, for machines and servicing, and we are happy to put you in touch.

Who am I actually talking to?

Louie or Emily. There are two of us and we run the whole thing, so whoever replies is the same person who roasted your coffee.
